Seven Veils Dance Company is under the direction of Kehau Honore-Ashton. Her career as a professional dancer and entertainer dates back to her childhood years. Growing up in a musically talented family gave her the opportunity to learn how to dance, sing, and play instruments at a young age, but it was her grandmothers European heritage and childhood friends from the Middle East and Indonesia that instilled the passion for Belly Dancing.

Coming from an extremely multi-cultural family, Kehau lives in the beauty and essence that the Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, African, Indonesian, and Pacific parts of the world contribute to dance and music. With over 25 years of experience as a dancer and instructor, she focuses on knowledge and skill with all of her dance students, regardless of age. Not just in movement, but in history, mythology, music, and cultural identity.

Seven Veils Dance Company focuses on the dance arts of the Mediterranean world. Belly dancing is more than a series of shimmies and shakes, fancy coin bras or belts. Belly dancing has evolved into modern versions of itself with identifying markers such as gothic, tribal, or cabaret.. All forms are expressive and creative in their own beauty which makes various types of belly dancing unique, however SVDC teaches the stylings of the Eastern regions of the world.

Seven Veils Dance Company instructs on the foundations of Arabic/Moroccan rhythms with Egyptian, Greek, Turkish, and Gypsy stylings through costuming, choreography and music.
